Owners Rozanne and Gerard Caronello closed their beloved La Bonne Auberge in December, 2009. The AAA-Four Diamond award-winning restaurant served classic French cuisine since 1972. For nearly four decades, the 250-year-old farmhouse set amidst impeccably landscaped gardens above the village of New Hope, Bucks County, hosted many special occasions, corporate events and wedding celebrations.

La Bonne Auberge, a hidden treasure that was renowned for its consistency, exquisite food and service, and attention to detail, was one of the finest dining establishments in the country. It was the only AAA-Four Diamond restaurant in Bucks County and received this prestigious award for seventeen consecutive years. It was also recognized on an annual basis since 1992 by Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRõNA), highly rated by Zagat and earned regular accolades from the print media.

“Once you step onto the elevated wooden walk that winds through manicured lawns and magnificent gardens, it’s a different world, and you’d best come with your dining sensibilities intact, for dinner at La Bonne Auberge is very special indeed.”

Philadelphia Magazine

“Chef Gerard Caronello, who was born near Lyon, lavishes almost as much attention on his establishment’s grounds as he does on his magnificent restaurant, a two-hundred-year-old structure.”

Gourmet Magazine

“Sophisticated French cuisine and a breathtakingly beautiful dining room put La Bonne Auberge almost in a class by itself.”

The Philadelphia Inquirer
